VICE MAYORAL CANDIDATES

Narra, officially the Municipality of Narra (Tagalog: Bayan ng Narra), is a municipality in the province of Palawan, with a population of 77,948 people as of the 2020 census. Located in the southern part of mainland Palawan, it is known as the “Rice Granary of Palawan” due to its vast rice fields and strong agricultural sector.
Narra was established as a resettlement area under the National Resettlement and Rehabilitation Administration (NARRA) program in the 1950s, which brought migrants from different parts of the Philippines to settle and develop the land. The town is home to Rasa Island, a protected sanctuary for the critically endangered Philippine cockatoo (Katala), making it an important site for wildlife conservation. Aside from agriculture, Narra also has rich natural attractions, including waterfalls, mountain ranges, and coastal areas that contribute to eco-tourism. With its blend of agricultural productivity, environmental conservation, and growing tourism potential, Narra continues to be one of Palawan’s most progressive municipalities.
