Agutaya, officially known as the Municipality of Agutaya (Tagalog: Bayan ng Agutaya), is a remote island municipality in the province of Palawan, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 12,867 people. Located in the eastern part of the Cuyo Archipelago in the Sulu Sea, Agutaya consists of several islands, including its namesake Agutaya Island, which is the second-largest island in the Cuyo group. Other islands under its jurisdiction include Diit, Halog, Maracanao, Matarawis (also spelled Matarabis), Eke, and the Quiniluban Islands. Agutaya Island itself covers an area of approximately 12 square kilometers (4.5 square miles), with its northeastern part being hilly and featuring four distinct peaks.

The tallest peak, standing at 270 meters (885 feet), is covered with cogon grass (Imperata arundinacea), while the other peaks are wooded. In the past, native sailboats found it difficult to travel between Agutaya and the nearby island of Cuyo, which is just 20 miles away, due to the powerful monsoon winds.
