Federation president Isagani Valerio said Friday they initially allowed two to three officers from each of the 22 barangays of Bataraza to undergo a pre-registration seminar conducted by the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) as a pre-requisite in forming a cooperative.
The bill mandates the condonation of unpaid interests, penalties and surcharges on loans secured by these beneficiaries from the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR), Department of Agriculture (DA), People’s Credit and Finance Corporation (PCFC), Cooperative Development Authority (CDA), National Food Authority (NFA) and the Quedan and Rural Credit Guarantee Corporation (QUEDANCOR).
Muling isasagawa sa lalawigan ang taunang pagtitipon ng mga kooperatiba. Ito ay sa pamamagitan ng 11th Provincial Cooperative Convention na may temang “Kooperatiba: Katuwang sa Tunay na Pag-unlad ng Mamamayan sa Palawan”.
A cooperative building and warehouse were turned over to members of Sitio Dinagdagan, Barangay Ocayan, Bataraza as a stepping-stone for the independence of the group, said Coral Bay Nickel Corporation (CBNC).
