They were distributed on June 24 with the help of the Livelihood Office of Governor Alvarez and the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (PDRRMO) in Barangays Bancalaan, Pandanan, and Sebaring.
Municipal risk reduction officer Mitra Tanjilani said they have 8,600 bags of rice of which 4,000 bags had already been rebagged and distributed to Balabac residents, including those living on island areas.
DSWD officer Wahidulhayat Sulayman said they have prepared some 2,000 fooodpacks to be delivered to some 4,000 household in the town's six island barangays.
