The Balabac municipal government assured it has enough rice supply to sustain the needs of its residents in 20 barangays for the remaining days of the quarantine.

Municipal risk reduction officer Mitra Tanjilani said they have 8,600 bags of rice of which 4,000 bags had already been rebagged and distributed to Balabac residents, including those living on island areas.

On April 2, the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (MDRRMO) distributed the food packs to the island barangays of Mangsee, Marabon, Pandanan, Malinsuno, Ramos, and Bugsuk.

As of current, over 5,000 households have already received food aids, said Tanjilani.

Balabac, a second class municipality, has 8,024 households.
