Governor Jose Chaves Alvarez said Tuesday that there is still no measure and other plans to ensure the readiness of the provincial government to acquire COVID-19 vaccines.
Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque, in a press briefing at the VJR Hall in Capitol Complex on Thursday, said that the locally appropriated funds may be separately added to the national COVID-19 vaccine allocation, helping the local government in procuring vaccines once made available.
“Malapit na ang araw ng pasko, sana naman ay mapasaya natin ang ating mga empleyado. Alam ko sa dami nila ay malaki ang aabutin pero sana mayroon tayong mabigay,” he said.
Around 4,500 casual and job order employees of the city government are expected to receive cash incentives of P3,000 each before Christmas.
