The Provincial Department of Health Office (PDOHO) Palawan Disease Surveillance confirmed that 14 new cases were recorded in the island town Saturday, making it the municipality with the highest number of active COVID-19 cases.
Dr. Marian Relucio, the tourist town's municipal health officer (MHO), said that the female patient arrived on July 11 aboard a “batil”, M/V May Lillies.
The Provincial Health Office (PHO), in a statement issued on Monday, said that the asymptomatic patient has no travel history or known contact with a COVID-19 positive case.
Alvarez told Palawan News that his main message was mainly to encourage his constituents to continue to observe the current quarantine protocols in place until the scheduled effectivity of the ECQ period on April 14.
