This supposed news platform (Palawan Daily News) recently copied a story published by Palawan News and passed it off as its own (see photo grab). Such blatant act of plagiarism is unethical and illegal. The explanation offered by this organization when confronted by our editors is lame and unacceptable. It refused to fully own up to its mistake and instead tried to pass the blame on to other parties.
This media organization should try to learn covering the news in the beats where they happen, deploying real reporters instead of copy-pasting from the Palawan News website. It is an annoying distraction to us, but we intend to make sure this repulsive brand of journalism stops.
