The Schools Division Office (SDO) of Palawan has moved anew the schedule of its “Bridging Program” to July due to the extension of work from home arrangements of the Department of Education (DepEd).

The SDO decided to move the program to July 1-August 21, 2020, according to DepEd Palawan information officer Grace Estefano.

Estefano told Palawan News that the decision was made pursuant to the memorandum from the Central Office of the DepEd and issued Division Memorandum No. 11, Series of 2020.

DepEd Memorandum No. 56 extended the work from home arrangements on June 1-5, 2020, until further notice. The extension of the work arrangements has affected the implementation of the bridging classes for Grades 7 and 11 entrants which was scheduled from June 8-July 24.

The memorandum also stated that this would give the secondary schools enough time to prepare the modules for grades 7 and 11 entrants.

“The time will also provide the secondary schools time to complete the preparation particularly on the production of the modules. It is expected that the learning packages have been reproduced by the respective secondary schools and are ready for distribution to the learners,” it stated.

School Division Superintendent Natividad P. Bayubay, CESO VI cited a quote from Pericles, “Time is the wisest counselor of all. Lahat ng bagay may nakalaan na oras, there’s a time for everything,” she said.
