The Puerto Princesa City Water District (PPCWD) announced that there will be supply interruption of water in some areas of barangays Irawan, Sta. Lourdes, and Tagburos on Saturday afternoon due to relocation activities.

The water district, in an issued advisory, said water interruption on September 4 will start from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and will affect areas from the Macasaet Pumping Station in Brgy. Irawan to Marcelo Compound, Delta P Power Plant, Honda Bay Road in Brgy. Sta. Lourdes, and Tagburos Aplaya in Brgy. Tagburos.

PPCWD explained that the reason of the interruption is the relocation of “stub-out and water meters due to road widening” as requested by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).

The city water district advised consumers in the affected locations and nearby areas to store enough water during the conduct of the maintenance activities.

Meanwhile, PPCWD also conducted an emergency leak repair of pipeline along Brgy. San Jose yesterday where water supply resumed by noontime.
