Police in Coron have arrested a man listed among the province’s most wanted for several sexual assault and rape cases involving a minor.
The Coron Municipal Police Station, working with the 2nd SOU-MG Coron MSBC, said the suspect, identified only as alias Venor, 44, of Barangay Tagumpay, was ranked No. 4 on Palawan’s provincial most wanted list and No. 1 at the municipal level.
He was taken into custody on a warrant for sexual assault under Article 266-A of the Revised Penal Code in relation to Section 5(B) of Republic Act 7610, with bail set at ₱180,000 for two counts.
Authorities said he is also facing two counts of qualified rape of a minor, a non-bailable offense under amended provisions of the Revised Penal Code.
Police said the suspect is now held at the Coron Municipal Police Station as legal proceedings continue.
