To increase awareness on the upcoming full implementation of the regulation of single-use plastic bags in Puerto Princesa City, the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA)-Palawan in partnership with SM City Puerto Princesa started offering free massage every Wednesday to mallgoers who would buy two eco-bags for P10 each.

The initiative is also part of the Wellness Wednesday campaign of SM City Puerto Princesa from May to June 2019.

After an exciting mall shopping experience, mallgoers could enjoy quick head and back massage, hand, and feet reflexology, and blood pressure check-up from TESDA trained masseurs for free at the 2nd Level of SM City Puerto Princesa.

On April 16, 2019, City Ordinance No. 993 or the Puerto Princesa City Single Use Plastic and Styrofoam Regulation Ordinance of 2019 became law. This mandates a 6-month grace period for business establishments to deplete single-use plastic inventory, including carryout plastic bags. By then, citizens of Puerto Princesa City would be encouraged to bring their own eco-bags when shopping.

Aside from the free massage, shoppers could also enjoy a Zumba experience at SM City Puerto Princesa every Wednesday at around 6 p.m.
