Margie Castulo, a resident of Barangay Princess Urduja in Narra town who found the endangered owl, said in a phone interview Wednesday morning that no apparent injury was found on the wild bird but it was “on a weak state”.
According to Jovic Fabello, spokesperson of the PCSD, the pangolin pair were spotted by a certain Antonio Cuino while he was working on his corn farm with his father. Knowing that the animal is hunted by poachers around their area, Cuiino decided to rescue the animals and turn them over to authorities.
