In the recently concluded 12th Malaria Congress on November 27, which coincided with KLM's 20th-year anniversary, KLM, together with the Department of Health (DOH) and the Provincial Government of Palawan (PGP) amplified the call to continue the fight against the mosquito-borne infectious disease amidst the battle with COVID-19.

KOFIH provided funds for the province's IP Health Caravan which recently benefited some 200 Pala'wan residents in Barangays Bunog, Iraan, Campung Ulay, and Punta Baja in Rizal, said Pamela Garcia, nurse IV of the Provincial Health Office.

Balderian said the BMEI aims to locate the area of the mosquitoes carrying the malaria virus and to take necessary action to prevent additional cases.
