Police operatives arrested on Monday a resident of Brgy. San Jose following a drug buy-bust operation.

The suspect was identified as Rea Echague Tabinga, 36.

Police Lt. Ray Aron Elona, station commander of the Puerto Princesa City Police Office (PPCPO) Station 1, said their drug enforcement team conducted a buy-bust operation that resulted in the arrest of Tabinga.

Elona said their asset and a police operative conducted a “test buy” and tracked down Tabinga.

“Mga Alas 2:10 ng hapon kahapon nagkaroon kami ng drug buy-bust operation, nakabili ‘yong asset namin kasama ang PNP operative sa suspect ng isang sachet ng pinaghihinalaang shabu sa halagang P500,” he said.

During Tabinga’s arrest, the police recovered the marked money.

The suspect is set to face a charge for violation of Section 5, Article II of R.A. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
