Operatives of the Philippine National Police recovered an estimated ₱20 million worth of suspected cocaine after a fisherman discovered two suspicious packages floating off the coastal waters of Rizal on Sunday, May 10.

According to an initial police investigation, the fisherman found the packages wrapped in black plastic about 25 nautical miles from the shoreline of Barangay Taburi.

Police said the packages contained around two kilograms of suspected cocaine with an estimated standard drug price of ₱20 million.

The recovered items were turned over to the Palawan Police Provincial Office for documentation and laboratory examination.
