Six individuals were brought in by personnel of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency and other law enforcement units following a search operation at a residence in Barangay Mabuhay, Puerto Princesa City, on May 25.
Among those apprehended for allegedly peddling suspected shabu were a 51-year-old male driver and his 41-year-old live-in partner, a 29-year-old hairdresser, a 53-year-old multicab driver, a 25-year-old man, and a 23-year-old individual said to be a Sangguniang Kabataan councilor of a barangay in the city.
Authorities said they recovered several sachets of suspected illegal drugs, drug paraphernalia, mobile phones, a bag, and other items from the residence.
The six are currently under the custody of PDEA Palawan as the agency conducts further investigation into their possible violation of Republic Act No. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
