Singer Gigi de Lana reveals being victimized by online scammers

Singer Gigi De Lana expressed her disappointment after falling prey to scammers following the recent road accident she had encountered.

In a Facebook post on Tuesday, the singer recounted being robbed of her funds in her BDO account, which were intended to cover her mother’s medical bills.

Gigi shared that she received a phone call wishing her a speedy recovery, only to later discover that she had been continuously robbed until her funds were depleted.

“Simula ng naaksidente kami from car accident. ang dami na nang scam sakin. ninakawan ako sa BDO kinuha lahat ng laman. Na pang medical bills sana yun ni mama. Kaso wala kayo awa. Sinabihan pa ako sa phone call ng ‘get well soon po kay maam gigi’ tapos after nun ninakawan na ako ng tuloy tuloy hanggang sa maubos laman. Grabe kayo. Di na kayo naawa,” she lamented.

Gigi and some members of the Gigi Vibes band were recently involved in a car accident in La Union.

Alongside her statement, Gigi shared a photo of herself after the accident to provide clarity to those who may have misunderstood or judged her.

“Nga pala ito itsura ko nung after a few days maaksidente. Sa mga hindi alam na ganito kalala and hinusgahan ako na nag inarte ako,” she said.

“Please wag kayo mang scam or mag nakaw. Please let us be kinder sa isat isa,” she appealed.
