Two communities in Barangay Sumbiling, Bataraza are awaiting the completion of two footbridges in August that will help improve the mobility of students and residents.
Community organizer Bobit Anihan said that the footbridges in the sitios of Busoy and Langgi will benefit the students that cross the river on their way to school.
The Sitio Busoy footbridge is now at 95 percent completion while in Sitio Langgi, the construction is now at 90 percent. The construction has started in July 22 and the residents of the community served as manpower for the project.
The footbridge in Sitio Busoy has a measurement of 16 meters in length and 2 meters in width, while in Sitio Langgi has 26 meters length and 2 meters in width.
The project has P132,380 budget for each footbridge from the Social Development and Management Program (SDMP) for education sector.
