The San Vicente municipal government joined the Department of Education (DepEd) in opening a new SDO Palawan Sub-Office for the San Vicente District on Wednesday, September 16.
The new office, located at Port Barton Elementary School in Barangay Port Barton, was formally blessed and inaugurated as part of efforts to bring DepEd services and support closer to schools and teachers in the district.
San Vicente Mayor Ramir Rodriguez Pablico attended the ceremony along with Port Barton Barangay Captain Marvin Ballesteros, Acting Municipal Engineer Engr. Charles Cachuela, Pastor Joel Juarez, Division Schools Superintendent Dr. Loida P. Adornado, Public School District Supervisor Loida L. Janoras, school heads and teachers.
The sub-office is expected to facilitate coordination among schools in the district and provide more accessible DepEd support to teachers and school personnel.
During the ceremony, Pablico emphasized the importance of making education services more accessible to young people.
“Kapag ang edukasyon ay ating inilalapit sa mga kabataan, inilalapit din natin sa kanila ang mas maganda at maayos na kinabukasan,” Pablico said.
DepEd officials also expressed appreciation for the continued support of the San Vicente municipal government in initiatives aimed at strengthening education services in the municipality.
The new sub-office is expected to serve as a closer point of coordination between DepEd and schools in the San Vicente District.
