Samantha Bernardo welcomes son in home water birth

Former beauty queen and television personality Samantha Bernardo has given birth to her first child, a baby boy named Sebastian Bernardo Moore, in a home water birth experience shared as a deeply personal and emotional milestone in her journey into motherhood.

Bernardo revealed that her labor began on May 31, which coincided with her husband Scott Moore’s birthday as well as her expected due date, turning what she described as an ordinary day into the start of a life-changing moment.

In a social media post, she recounted how she and her husband spent the day together in quiet anticipation before realizing that she had already entered labor.

The former Miss Grand International first runner-up said she delivered Sebastian at home shortly before 2 a.m. on June 1, surrounded by her birth team, family support, and a calm environment she described as intentional and peaceful.

Bernardo called the experience “magical,” saying it taught her to trust her body and surrender fully to the process of childbirth.

“I learned to trust my body and just surrender,” she shared, reflecting on the intensity and emotional depth of the birth experience.

She had earlier expressed her intention to pursue a natural water birth, openly documenting her pregnancy journey and the physical and emotional transitions leading up to motherhood.

Bernardo and Scott Moore were married in April 2024 and announced their pregnancy in 2025, later revealing they were expecting a son they fondly called their “ball of sunshine.”

The couple named their newborn Sebastian, with loved ones expressing gratitude for what they described as a safe and supported birth surrounded by family and care.

In her post, Bernardo also extended appreciation to her husband, family, friends, and medical team, saying the arrival of their son was made meaningful by the love and support around them.
