Rio Tuba Nickel Mining Corporation (RTNMC) and CDTN Services Company Inc. joined Brigada Eskwela 2026, mobilizing employees and volunteers to help improve school facilities in Palawan ahead of the opening of classes.
The company participated in various school maintenance activities, including classroom clean-up, painting, minor repairs, installation of educational materials, and the donation of construction and maintenance supplies.
RTNMC said the initiative was part of its continuing commitment to support education and community development in areas where it operates.
The effort brought together company personnel, teachers, school officials, and community stakeholders in preparing schools to provide a safe and conducive learning environment for students.
Through its participation in Brigada Eskwela, RTNMC highlighted the role of private sector partnerships in supporting public education and helping schools address maintenance needs before the start of the school year.
The annual Brigada Eskwela program of the Department of Education encourages collaboration among government agencies, private organizations, and local communities to ensure public schools are ready for the return of learners.
RTNMC said its involvement aligns with its responsible mining initiatives, which include programs aimed at supporting the welfare and development of host communities across southern Palawan.
