Personnel of Roxas Municipal Police Station joined a multi-agency coastal clean-up activity in Sitio Green Island, Barangay Tumarbong on June 18 as part of the Philippine Environment Month 2026 observance.
The activity, held from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., was led by the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO) of Roxas in partnership with the local government unit and several agencies, including the Department of Environment and Natural Resources, Palawan Council for Sustainable Development, Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, Philippine Coast Guard, Bureau of Fire Protection, Philippine Marines, 2nd Palawan Provincial Mobile Force Company, Gabay Dagat, and barangay officials.
Roxas police personnel, under the supervision of PCPT Marvin R. Herrera, officer-in-charge, took part in the SCUBASURERO coastal clean-up as part of the station’s support for environmental protection efforts.
“The activity aimed to promote environmental awareness and encourage community participation in protecting and preserving coastal and marine ecosystems,” Roxas MPS said in a statement.
It added that the initiative “strengthened cooperation among government agencies, local officials, and community stakeholders in maintaining a clean, safe, and sustainable environment.”
The station also noted that the clean-up “helped reduce marine pollution, protect aquatic life, and support the government’s efforts toward environmental conservation and ecological balance.”
