A farmer was shot dead by two unidentified suspects at 12 noon Monday in Roxas town.
The Roxas police identified the victim as Renato Nacar Jr., 26 years old, single, a resident and farmer of Sitio Linapawan, Roxas, northern Palawan.
Police reports said they received a cellphone call from the village chief of Barangay Abaroan who informed them there was a shooting incident in the barangay.
They immediately deployed personnel to the area to investigate.
The dead body of Nacar was found by the police lying in front of his house in Linapawan.
The victim sustained gunshot wounds on his back and head, which led to his death.
The police investigators said that the victim escorted his mother to Barangay Poblacion on his motorcycle.
It was on his way back home that he was shot by two unidentified suspects allegedly waiting for him.
Recovered at the crime scene were a.45 empty shell and a .9mm caliber empty slug.
