River case in Sofronio Española leads to arrests

Authorities have arrested two suspects in the killing of a man whose body was found floating in a river in Purok Talisay, Barangay Punang, Sofronio Española, Palawan, on June 13.

The suspects were identified only by their aliases, “Toto” and “Buboy,” both residents of Barangay Punang.

According to a report from the Palawan Police Provincial Office (PalPPO), witnesses positively identified the two men as the suspects.

Investigation showed that before the incident, the victim, identified only as “Russel,” had been drinking with the suspects. The session reportedly ended in a heated argument that led to the stabbing.
