The office of 3rd District Rep. Gil Acosta Jr. is providing accident insurance to barangay health frontliners under its recently established Tulong para sa Kalusuan Officers (TKO) to help pay for medical and other expenses that may be incurred following unintentional injuries.
Kabarangay information officer Agnes Acosta-Magdaug said in an interview Tuesday that this is an expansion of the program Barangay Tanod Association (BATAS) intended for barangay tanods.
Under the TKO, the beneficiaries are the barangay health workers (BHWs), barangay nutrition scholars (BNS), and other barangay frontliners.
That’s the way of expanding ng program ni Cong.
She said that they had already begun enrolling beneficiaries in the 3rd District barangays.
Aside from this, their office has also distributed blood pressure apparatuses, thermal scanners, oximeters, face masks, and alcohol.
