Puerto Princesa City will mark the 128th anniversary of Dr. Jose Rizal’s martyrdom with a special ceremony on December 30 at 7 a.m. in Barangay Liwanag.
The commemoration aligns with Presidential Proclamation No. 126, which designates December 30 as a day to remember the national hero’s sacrifice.
The City Mayor’s Office issued Memorandum Circular No. 35, calling on all national and local government units, educational institutions, and barangay officials to participate in the event.
City employees are expected to attend and will be wearing official government shirts for the occasion.
The ceremony will include a wreath-laying at Rizal Park, with department heads and program managers leading the tribute.
The City Mayor’s office, led by City Administrator Atty. Arnel Pedrosa, has circulated the event program to ensure community involvement and to guide the public in the day’s activities.
