The Department of Information Communications and Technology (DICT) has been requested anew to provide WiFi connection in all of Palawan’s barangays.

Provincial Board Member Maria Angela Sabando, in approved Resolution No. 301-21, said the request is aimed at providing easy internet access to residents even in covered courts during the pandemic.

She pointed out that currently, many Palaweños continue to suffer from the poor internet connection, particularly students who are attending classes online.

The provincial board approved the resolution on the first and final reading during its regular session Tuesday.

In addition, the same measure was also passed in the provincial board in August 2020, addressed to the Office of the President through DICT.
