A church-based election watchdog on Saturday urged unregistered Filipinos to sign up before the May 18 deadline for voter registration ahead of the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) scheduled on November 2.
In a social media post, Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting reminded prospective voters to visit their local offices of the Commission on Elections to complete their registration.
“Make your vote count! Register now!” the group said.
“Registration ends on May 18, 2026 at 5 p.m.,” it added.
The PPCRV also advised applicants to bring a valid government-issued identification card, noting that student IDs are accepted.
Under Comelec rules, Filipinos aged 18 and above may register as regular voters, while those aged 15 to 17 may apply as youth voters for the Sangguniang Kabataan elections.
Latest data from the Comelec showed that 4,740,551 voter registration applications had been received nationwide from Oct. 20, 2025 to May 9, 2026.
The poll body said the applications include new voter registrations, transfers, reactivation, correction of entries, and change of status requests.
