The Puerto Princesa City Police Office has heightened security measures in preparation for Undas 2024, as large gatherings are expected during the commemoration of All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day.
In coordination with the city government, the P/Colonel Ronie Bacuel said Wednesday that they aim to ensure the safety of the public through a comprehensive security plan targeting public areas such as cemeteries.
He said the preparations will include the deployment of mobile and beat patrols, traffic management teams, and Quick Response Teams (QRTs).
Police Assistance Desks (PADs) will also be established at strategic locations, including cemeteries and other high-traffic areas, to assist the public and respond swiftly to any incidents.

Bacuel emphasized that officers will be on heightened alert, ensuring peace and order while addressing public concerns.
“We encourage everyone to remain vigilant and cooperate with law enforcement to make this year’s commemoration safe for all,” he said.
Residents and visitors are urged to follow safety protocols, avoid bringing prohibited items to cemeteries, and report any suspicious activities to the nearest police station or PAD.
The PPCPO assures that their enhanced presence will cover all key areas in the city to maintain a peaceful observance of Undas.
For assistance, the public may contact PPCPO through official hotlines and social media platforms, with hotline numbers provided for City Headquarters and five police stations across the city.
