A money collector was reportedly held up along the national highway in Barangay Alfonso XIII, Quezon, Palawan on September 6.
Based on information gathered by Palawan News, the victim boarded a tricycle around 10 a.m. where another male passenger was riding. The man allegedly pulled out a knife, pressed it against the victim’s neck, and took his sling bag containing collections.
The assailant was said to have taken ₱37,000, while another ₱88,000 remained untouched because the victim reportedly jumped off the tricycle.
The source claimed that when the victim later appeared before police, he showed what he claimed was a scratch on his neck but bore no other injuries or marks on his body.
He said the police are trying to reach the victim again as the investigation continues, after obtaining statements from other individuals related to the incident.
However, as of press time, the victim can no longer be found.
