Residents and students in a remote community in San Vicente, Palawan received government and private sector assistance through a community outreach program led by police forces on March 29.
The 3rd Platoon of the 2nd Palawan Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC) conducted the “Tarabangan Kita” Serbisyo Caravan at Nieves Bacosa Elementary School in Sitio Pamuayan, Barangay Port Barton, aiming to deliver basic services and support to underserved sectors.
The activity was led by PCPT Nollie S. Vergara, platoon leader, in coordination with barangay officials of Port Barton, the West Philippine Sea Grand Eagles Club, West Philippine Sea Grand Lady Eagles Club, Bagyo Wagwagan, and the San Vicente Municipal Police Station.
The program provided a range of social services, including a feeding activity for children, distribution of school supplies and assorted goods, and food packs for families in the community.
Organizers also conducted free haircut services for residents, particularly benefiting children in the area.
“The said activities are proof of the compassion and dedication of the police and their partners in promoting the welfare of the people,” the organizers said in a statement.
Police authorities continue to encourage various sectors to participate in similar initiatives aimed at delivering essential services while promoting peace and development in communities.
