Residents of Barangay Jolo in Roxas received health, social welfare, and water access assistance through a community outreach program and a newly completed water project led by the 2nd Palawan Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC) and its partner organizations.
The Regional Public Safety Battalion (RPSB) Team of the 2nd Palawan PMFC conducted its “Tarabangan Kita Community Outreach Program” in the village as part of continuing efforts to deliver basic services and strengthen ties with local communities.
The activity was led by PMaj. Roel A. Tattao, acting force commander of the 2nd Palawan PMFC, in partnership with the Roxas local government, the Rotary Club of Roxas, barangay officials headed by Barangay Captain Gabriel Saclet, and representatives from the Department of Social Welfare and Development.
Senior citizens were among the primary beneficiaries, receiving food packs and free eyeglasses, while children participated in a feeding program. Residents also availed themselves of free circumcision and haircut services.
“Layunin ng programa na maihatid ang mga pangunahing serbisyo sa mga mamamayan, lalo na sa mga sektor na nangangailangan ng agarang tulong at suporta,” the PMFC said.
In a separate activity, the PMFC and Rotary Club of Roxas turned over a community well to residents of Purok Pagkakaisa, addressing long-standing concerns over access to clean and sufficient water.
The project was completed through the collective efforts of the RPSB Team, members of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps), barangay officials, and community residents.
According to the PMFC, the well project forms part of its “Kalingang 2nd Palawan PMFC: Walang Imposible” initiative, a best-practice program designed to deliver tangible community assistance through partnerships among government agencies, civic groups, and local residents.
Residents and barangay officials expressed gratitude to the police and partner organizations for helping provide a sustainable source of water and bringing essential services directly to the community.
The PMFC said the activities reflect its continuing commitment to community-oriented policing and public service under the Philippine National Police’s “Bagong PNP sa Bagong Pilipinas” program.
