In its advocacy towards the promotion of the hospitality and tourism sector of the province, Panja Resort is conducting qualifying exams, screening, and interviews to be able to provide scholarship grants to Palawan State University (PSU) hospitality and tourism management students.

Panja Resort is a luxurious hotel holiday destination with 35 well-appointed rooms situated in the hills above Puerto Princesa City near Mitra’s Ranch overlooking the magnificent panoramic view of Honda Bay.

Qualified students will get scholarship allowances amounting to P5,000-P6,000 per semester, which students could use for books and other necessary expenses.

“It is our small way of extending our support towards the hospitality industry because eventually, these students will form the backbone of the hospitality and tourism sector which is the primary industry in the province”, said Nino Madaje, general manager of Panja Resort Palawan.

Students will then be required to maintain an average grade of 85 to continue with the program. These students will also have an opportunity (although not mandatory) to work at Panja Resort during summer or break time with corresponding compensation.

“We thank Panja Resort Palawan for their support in helping the education of these deserving students and towards the thrust of the University of immersion with actual work experience to better prepare them as future hoteliers”, said Dr. Judy Ann V. Sarail, PhD IHM, Dean, College of Hospitality and Tourism Management.

Panja Resort boasts of its beautiful infinity swimming pool, Horizon Restaurant serving Filipino and International dishes, 360 Rooftop Bar with a wide range of cocktail and wine selections, PRANA Spa with rejuvenating treatments and experienced therapists, which makes it a complete experience for the students as they render the best customer service in this part of the world.

Most of Panja Resort guests are tourists who want a complete nature-relaxing experience owing to its beautiful location and excellent customer service.
