The Palawan Electric Cooperative (PALECO) held an elementary symposium at Old Guinlo Elementary School in Taytay on August 6 in celebration of the 15th National Electrification Awareness Month.
The event included the donation of learner’s kits to students from Kindergarten to Grade 6.
During the symposium, PALECO introduced its mission and objectives to the students and provided education on energy conservation and electrical safety practices.
PALECO stated that a total of 108 learner’s kits, containing school supplies such as notebooks, paper, pens, crayons, and more, were distributed to the students.
The event was attended by Dir. Ferdinand B. Garcellano from District XI (covering the municipalities of Taytay, San Vicente, and El Nido) and Ms. Melissa D. Fancubila, Area North Operations Department Manager.
PALECO said the initiative aimed to raise awareness about the importance of electrification and promote safety and conservation among the younger generation.
