The Palawan Electric Cooperative (PALECO) is now hiring personnel for its technical services department to address the complaints of member-consumers.

In a video interview posted on its Facebook page entitled “Oras ng PALECO”, Napolen Cortes Jr., head of the Human Resource (HR) Department, said Thursday that they are hiring personnel such as linemen and disconnectors.

“Ang priority namin ngayon ay ‘yong pag-hire ng mga personnel na kailangan talaga natin, meron na tayong na-hire na mga probationary at meron tayong apat sa Brooke’s Point dahil alam naman natin na ang Brooke’s Point talaga ay medyo kailangan na talaga ng tao doon,” Cortes said.

He added that they already hired two linemen for construction and maintenance of the technical services department, two were also hired for Narra, four for Brooke’s Point, and one-meter reader collector for Puerto Princesa City.

The power firm already hired seven contractual disconnectors for the main office in Puerto Princesa, two personnel for each town of Aborlan, Roxas, and Cuyo; one for each town of Quezon, San Vicente, Taytay, and El Nido.

Cortes said four slots are open for the towns of Rizal and Brooke’s Point.

“We are also thinking of outsourcing the disconnection service,” he added.
