Palawan State University (PalawanSU) suspended in-person classes at its main campus in Barangay Tiniguiban today while authorities investigate online posts that raised concerns about the safety and security of students.
The university said classes at all levels, from junior high school to college, would temporarily shift to synchronous and asynchronous online learning.
Previously scheduled campus activities were also postponed, while in-person student events were suspended.

PalawanSU did not disclose the nature of the reported threat, the contents of the online posts or whether authorities had found them credible.
The university said the changes were implemented as a “precautionary measure.” It added that “security protocols across campus premises have been further tightened” while university officials coordinate with local law enforcement “to resolve the situation, deter similar threats, and ensure community safety.”
