Palawan ProtekTODO turns every finish into proof of purpose through ‘Resibo sa Pagtakbo’

More than 8,000 participants in the Angat Bayanihan Run 2026 received free 24-hour personal accident insurance coverage from PPS Insurance Agency Inc. (PPSIA) through Palawan ProtekTODO.

The coverage, underwritten by Oona Insurance, was provided to all registered participants in the run held on July 19 at Ayala Triangle Gardens in Makati City.

Presented by Angat Buhay and co-presented by Make It Makati, the event brought together runners in support of programs on education, healthcare, food security, youth development, civic participation, and environmental protection.

The run also marked the start of Angat Buhay’s year-long countdown to its fifth anniversary.

PPSIA and the Palawan Group of Companies provided cash sponsorships to support Angat Buhay’s partner organizations. Proceeds from the event will benefit Kythe Foundation, Kusina ng Pag-asa, World Vision Philippines, LoveYourself, Team Pinas, TAYO Awards Foundation, and Waves for Water Philippines.

Palawan ProtekTODO also introduced its “Run, Resibo” activity during the event. Inspired by fitness tracking application Strava, the activity provided runners with personalized physical receipts showing the distance they completed.

Participants in the 1K, 3K, 5K, and 10K categories received the receipts through a themed photo booth as a keepsake of their participation.

Displays featuring Palawan ProtekTODO’s affordable insurance products were also set up at the event to explain its coverage options to participants.

“With Palawan ProtekTODO, we believe that every meaningful journey deserves protection. Our partnership with the Angat Buhay reflects our commitment to making insurance more accessible while supporting initiatives that bring communities together for a greater purpose,” said Lisa Lou Castro-Sabado, chief business development officer of the Palawan Group of Companies.
