The first Palawan ICT Roadmap Development Workshop was successfully held, marking a key step for the provincial government in charting a clear direction for digital transformation.
During the workshop, representatives from the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) discussed the ICT ecosystem, conducted a SWOT analysis, and facilitated visioning and strategic goal setting to establish concrete steps toward strengthening digital governance in the province.
Each cluster also presented proposed projects as part of the development of the Palawan ICT Strategic Agenda, aimed at expanding the implementation of ICT initiatives across all municipalities.
A highlight of the activity was the ceremonial commitment signing of the Palawan ICT Strategic Agenda for 2026–2031, held on November 19, 2025, at the Victoriano J. Rodriguez Hall of the Provincial Capitol.
The agreement includes plans to enhance ICT infrastructure, promote digital literacy, improve digital services, and establish a data-driven governance framework to guide policymaking and government operations.
The initiative, led by Gov. Amy Roa Alvarez, seeks to advance the province toward more modern, efficient, and innovative governance. Department heads, representatives from various government agencies, and private sector stakeholders attended the ceremonial signing.
