A Pala’wan native was hacked to death by a relative following a heated argument Tuesday in Barangay Imulnod, Brooke’s Point.

P/Maj. Carlito Valdez, police chief of Brooke’s Point, identified the victim as Reniel Dauban while the suspect was a certain Akrel Peldi — both residents of the same barangay.

Valdez said the two had been drinking after attending a birthday party when they began arguing, followed by Peldi striking Dauban with a bolo in the head.

Peldi surrendered to the police after the incident.
