Palawan candidate Jamaica Venturillo failed to qualify in the top 50 of Miss Universe Philippines, vowing to return “improved and better” in pageant scenery.
Despite the prowess she has shown during the runway and casting video challenges, the 20-year old Miss Universe Philippines Palawan falls short in the highly-anticipated national pageant after the announcement of its official roster yesterday.
In an interview with Palawan News, Venturillo expressed her gratitude to her supporters along with a promise to be back in the pageant scene.
“I feel sad and at the same time motivated to do better next time. This is not the end of my journey, babalik ako, babalik si Jamaica Venturillo ng mas handa at preparado. Improve what needs to be improved and prepare more in any aspect as much as possible,” Venturillo said.
“I would also like to thank my fellow Palaweños for supporting and believing in me. For the opportunity to represent our province and to showcase the character of a Palaweño. To all aspiring beauty queens, never stop doing your very best to achieve your dreams in life, ever every day a blessing, make it count! Keep safe and God bless everyone,” she added.
The top 50 selection was based on the voting and judges’ decisions.
