The Puerto Princesa City Police Office (PPCPO) has reported that the observance of Holy Week in the city was peaceful and orderly.
This comes after the PPCPO recorded no untoward incidents related to the Holy Week throughout the entire week.
According to PPCPO Director Police Col. Cornelio Tadena Jr., this was made possible through early preparations and planning, strengthened police visibility, roving and foot patrols, coordination with local and barangay officials, religious leaders, and other stakeholders, and most importantly, the cooperation of the public.
“We are grateful to our community, partners, and every officer who contributed to this peaceful observance. This is a clear testament to what we can achieve through unity, vigilance, and dedication to public service,” said Tadena in the statement released by the PPCPO.
He added that the city police have now shifted their focus back to regular duties and preparations for the upcoming May elections.
Tadena also assured the public that the PPCPO remains committed to its sworn duty of ensuring public safety and maintaining peace and order across Puerto Princesa City in support of a more progressive community.
