No storm is affecting the country, but several areas will continue to see rain from the northeast monsoon, the shear line, and the intertropical convergence zone. (ITCZ), the state weather bureau reported Sunday morning.
PAGASA forecaster Obet Badrina said that the northeast monsoon is bringing light to moderate rain to the Cordillera and Cagayan Valley regions, while isolated rain is expected in Ilocos Region.
Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have warm conditions with chances of afternoon thunderstorms.
The shear line will continue to bring rain to Aurora and the eastern parts of Central and Southern Luzon.
The intertropical convergence zone will also bring rain to Palawan, many areas in the Visayas, and large parts of Mindanao, where scattered downpours may trigger flooding or landslides.
Temperature ranges for Puerto Princesa and Kalayaan Islands are expected between 25°C and 30°C. In Metro Manila, temperatures will range from 24°C to 30°C.
Sea travel remains safe in most areas, though moderate to rough seas may be felt in parts of Northern and Central Luzon due to the northeast monsoon.
Badrina said the country is likely to stay free of storms for several days.
“Maliit yung posibilidad na magkaroon tayo ng bagyo sa loob ng Philippine Area of Responsibility,” he said, adding that the public should continue monitoring updates.
