Nine COVID-19 patients under the ‘suspect’ category in Palawan have tested negative for the deadly infection according to health authorities, citing test results from the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM).

Richard Ligad, chief of the City Information Office (CIO), in his Facebook post Sunday, also said that one of the nine negative results was from a deceased suspect COVID-19 patient in Puerto Princesa City.

“Dumating na [ang] result ng isang person under investigation (PUI) death natin. Negative ang resulta,” Ligad said.

The Center for Health Development (CHD-MIMAROPA) recorded a total of 57 suspect COVID-19 patients in the Palawan province, 20 of whom were admitted in different hospitals while 36 remained under strict home quarantine, as of 3 p.m. on Sunday (May 17).
