A new low pressure area is forming some 40 kilometers east of Zamboanda del Sur, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

While the entire MIMAROPA region is expected to experience a generally and humid condition, weather experts added they are not expecting the weather system to form into a storm.

Gener Quitlong, PAGASA weather specialist, said that the previous LPA monitored on Thursday had already dissolved, and the new one is not expected to develop into a tropical depression.

“Ang mino-monitor natin na low pressure kahapon ay nalusaw na at itong nasabing LPA ngayong araw, within 24 hours ay hindi naman nakikita na magiging bagyo itong nasabing weather system,” he said Friday.

He said the new LPA may also be dissolved within the coming days.

The forecast temperature in the city of Puerto Princesa ranges from 25 to 32 degree Celsius.
