NARRA, Palawan — The municipal government’s task force here on COVID-19 has imposed curfew hours for all residents and established thermal checkpoints.

In a phone interview Saturday with Palawan News, Narra mayor Gerandy Danao said that strict temperature monitoring using is also strictly enforced at the terminals and checkpoints.

The curfew will begin at 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.

“May monitoring kami sa terminal and checkpoints, may thermal gun na ginagamit para ma-check ‘yong temperature, pati PNP, BFP, MDRRMO, tanod sa barangay, lahat yan nakatutok, magcu-curfew at lahat ng mga tindahan sarado,” he said.

The thermal checkpoints are located between Narra and Aborlan and Narra and Sofronio Española as part of measures to prevent the entry of COVID-19 in Narra.

The borders are manned by the COVID-19 Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) personnel from the Narra Municipal Police Station, Bureau of Fire Protection, Rural Health Unit, and Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office with the assistance of the Marine Batallion Landing Team-4 (Narra-Abo-abo border).

The Barangay Health Emergency Response Teams (BHERTs) will be in charge of enforcing the curfew hours.
