A vehicular accident early Thursday morning led to the loss of a top down tricycle driver in Barangay New Agutaya, San Vicente, Palawan.
The Palawan Police Provincial Office (PPO) claimed in a report from the municipal police station in the town that the collision happened at around 6:30 a.m. along Itabiak Road and involved an Isuzu truck bus and a Honda TMX 155 motorcycle.
The bus, identified as a white-and-green Isuzu unit was driven by a certain “Don,” a resident of Barangay 4, Roxas, Palawan. The top down tricycle was driven by Ronel Villaruela, a resident of Barangay New Agutaya, who sustained fatal injuries and was declared dead on arrival in the hospital.
The PPPO said investigation found out that both vehicles were traveling in opposite directions when the top down allegedly overshot its lane, encroaching into the truck’s path.
The top down collided with the front left side of the bus.
