A motorcycle rider was hurt after colliding with a truck while crossing the national highway in Barangay Panitian on July 9.
The Palawan Police Provincial Office (PalPPO) said the accident happened at Kilometer Post 138 as the truck was heading north from Brooke’s Point toward Quezon.
“Initial investigation revealed that V2 was traversing from Brooke’s Point, Palawan, going back to Quezon, Palawan (south to north direction), while V1 was positioned on the right side and about to cross the road,” PalPPO stated.
The motorcycle came from the right side of the road and was trying to cross when it collided with the truck on a downhill stretch.
The police said the impact caused the motorcycle to hit the middle side of the truck. The rider, a 37-year-old housewife without a driver’s license, suffered injuries and was taken to Leoncio General Hospital in Brooke’s Point.
The truck driver, 45, and his two passengers were not hurt.
