A young rider was killed while three others were injured in a collision between a motorcycle and a courier delivery van along the National Highway in Barangay IV, Roxas, Palawan, around 9:20 p.m. on November 2, All Soul’s Day.
The Palawan Police Provincial Office (PalPPO) said that investigations conducted by the Roxas Municipal Police Station (MPS) showed that a yellow delivery van driven by a 33-year-old man known as “Dino,” a resident of Barangay San Manuel in Puerto Princesa City, was heading toward Poblacion, Roxas, with one passenger on board.
On the other hand, a black and blue Sniper motorcycle driven by a 25-year-old man identified as “Rey,” a resident of Barangay Abaroan, Roxas, was traveling in the opposite direction.
PalPPO said the motorcycle had no plate number, registration, or driver’s license.
Investigation further showed that the motorcycle suddenly swerved into the van’s lane, causing the crash. The impact left Rey with serious injuries. He was rushed to Roxas Medicare Hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
