Minor declared dead after road accident in Aborlan

A minor died after his motorcycle slipped into the opposite lane and crashed into a van along the national highway in Barangay Ramon Magsaysay, Aborlan, on Sunday morning, September 21.

The Palawan Police Provincial Office (PalPPO) said that investigation showed that the victim, who was allegedly riding a red SKYGO Monarch 150 without a plate number, was following a yellow Kia utility vehicle driven by alias Roel, 37, of Barangay Mabini, Aborlan, around 7:10 a.m. when he accidentally hit its rear left side. The collision caused him to lose control and cross into the other lane.

At that moment, a silver Toyota Hiace Commuter van driven by alias Jay, 43, of Barangay Malatgao, Narra, was approaching from the opposite direction and struck the motorcycle.

The minor sustained multiple injuries and was rushed by the Aborlan Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office to Aborlan Medicare Hospital, where he was declared dead on arrival.
